Earthwise Youth Participants Explored Sustainable Solutions Through Creativity

The Earthwise Youth project (2025-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000297448), coordinated by Asociación PAFF, took place in Córdoba, Spain, between 17–24 October 2025, bringing together young participants from Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Spain, Türkiye. Throughout the youth exchange, participants engaged in a wide range of educational activities designed to strengthen environmental awareness while encouraging international cooperation and active participation.

A key focus of this stage of the project was understanding the importance of sustainable resource management and the growing need to reduce environmental pollution. Participants explored topics such as responsible recycling, waste separation, and the environmental consequences of excessive consumption through interactive learning methods. By examining everyday environmental challenges, they developed a clearer understanding of how individual choices can positively influence the future of the planet.

International teamwork played an essential role throughout the exchange. Participants collaborated in multicultural groups to identify environmental issues affecting their local communities and proposed practical, youth-led solutions. These discussions not only strengthened their communication and teamwork skills but also demonstrated the value of cooperation in addressing global environmental concerns.

Creativity became another powerful learning tool during the project. Using recyclable materials, participants designed artistic creations that reflected messages of sustainability, environmental protection, and responsible consumption. These workshops illustrated how art can inspire social awareness while promoting the principles of reuse and circular economy in an engaging and accessible way.

Educational visits across Córdoba complemented the workshop programme by allowing participants to experience environmental initiatives in practice. Visiting local environmental sites, including the Botanical Garden, helped young people observe biodiversity conservation, ecological education, and sustainable urban practices firsthand. These experiences connected theoretical knowledge with real-life examples of environmental responsibility.
